Sika® Polysulphide Gun Grade is a cross linking polysulphide based elastic sealant for vertical and horizontal expansion joints.

TECHSEAL RDL 940/941 are two component sealant based on ‘THIOKOL’ – Polysulphide liquid elastomer. It consists of a ‘base’ compound and ‘accelerator’ (Curing Agent). When the two components are mixed together prior to application, a chemical reaction is initiated which cures instantly to a firm, flexible rubber like seal with excellent adhesion to concrete, masonry, wood, glass, acrylic and PVC plastics. It is capable of withstanding repeated extension, compression & cyclic movements without the loss of adhesion and resists deterioration by weathering, sunlight, ozone, water, salt, oils and fuels. It is far superior to all the conventional joint sealing material like bitumen, mastics, metallic channels and expansion sheets. RDL-940 (Gun Grade) is a non-sag material used for sealing of horizontal, vertical & ceiling joints RDL-941 (Pour Grade) is a pourable & self leveling material used for sealing of horizontal joints only

Thioflex 600 is available in gun and pouring grades. The gun grade is ideal for general application. It is packed in a ready to mix, 2.5 litre tin containing the base and curing agent in the correct proportions. The pouring grade for joints in horizontal surfaces is supplied in 5 litre packs with the base and curing agent in separate tins. Thioflex 600 is particularly recommended for use in high-rise buildings and other applications where access for subsequent maintenance will be difficult and the risk of early movement failure must be minimised. It is also suitable for sealing joints in brickwork, retaining walls, basements and subways. Thioflex 600 pouring grade is recommended for initial sealing of expansion joints and stress relief joints in floors and sealing other horizontal surfaces

is a two component, self smoothing, elastomeric sealant which when mixed and applied cures by chemical reaction to form a tough, flexible rubber seal.

Curing compounds are used to help prevent shrinkage cracking by reducing the evaporation of water from the concrete. A curing compound should be applied as soon as bleed water ceases to collect on the pavement surface.

It conforms to BS 5212: 1990 Part I -Type F & Type FB (Flame and Fuel Resistant), IS 12118 Part 1 – 1987, BS:4254 and ASTM C 920.
